Steve Kowalski and his wife Joan founded A Better Exposure to realize their dream of helping clients capture their dearest and most priceless moments.
Steve's roots are in California. Over the years, he has studied with multiple photographers, gaining experience in both private studio photography and corporate marketing. Steve is currently based in Omaha, Nebraska as a Senior, Portrait, Wedding, Commercial and Fine Art Photographer.
Steve has extensive experience and he continually adds to his portfolio thanks to being in demand from high profile clientele. Steve has a passion for people, products and places which gives him the freedom to work with all forms of Photography. Steve strives to stretch his Creativity which allows him to continually do something new and different in both Professional and Personal Projects.

Steve is known for creativity and spontaneous portraits. There is a location for every season of the year. Common travel extends to nearby cities of Lincoln, Nebraska, Kansas City, Des Moines, Chicago, California and International Sites.

Fine art photography refers to photographs that are created in accordance with the creative vision of the photographer as artist. Fine art photography stands in contrast to photojournalism, which provides visual support for stories, mainly in the print media, and commercial photography, the primary focus of which is to sell products or services. Steve's primary passion is Large Format Fine Art Landscapes and Wildlife with Print Media in the range of Color, Black and White, Sepia and Infrared. Some of the famous Photographers who have had an influence on Steve's work have been Ansel Adams, Rodney Lough Jr. and Clyde Butcher. Steve is planning development of a Fine Art Gallery of Photography to be shared and available for purchase as fine art photography prints over the coming 5 years.
